iPhone LUTs that match your footage
Most "my LUT looks wrong" problems on iPhone come from one thing: the LUT expects a different input than what you shot. A look made for Rec709 turns Apple Log footage grey; a Log LUT on normal HDR video blows out contrast. Pick your profile below and test every look on a frame from your own clip before you pay.
Preview LUTs are development placeholders while the final packs are being graded.
Which version do I need?
| You shot on | Use this version |
|---|---|
| iPhone 15 Pro / 16 Pro, Apple Log | Apple Log |
| iPhone 17 Pro, Apple Log 2 | Apple Log 2 |
| Any iPhone, normal (HDR/SDR) video or photos | Rec709 |
Apple Log vs Apple Log 2
Apple Log 2 on iPhone 17 Pro records into Apple's wider gamut instead of Rec.2020. A LUT built for the original Apple Log will usually look a bit too saturated or hue-shifted on Apple Log 2 footage. Every pack includes a dedicated Apple Log 2 version, so you don't have to stack a conversion LUT first.
The Apple Log 2 preview currently uses a development approximation of the gamut; final packs will be validated on real iPhone 17 Pro footage.
How to use LUTs on iPhone
- While shooting: load the .cube into the Blackmagic Camera app — step-by-step import guide.
- In editing: Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, LumaFusion and Premiere all accept .cube files. For CapCut see how to install a LUT in CapCut.
- Looks grey or not recording? Fix Blackmagic Camera LUT not working.
